This course follows the content of an AP Chemistry class and performs many of the laboratory experiences recommended by the College Board/AP Chemistry while further preparing students for college chemistry. The course is the equivalent of 1 semester of general college chemistry and uses a college text and laboratory experiment.  There is special emphasis on calculations, atomic and molecular structure, acids & bases, elementary thermodynamics, electrochemistry, equilibrium, gas laws, oxidation and reduction,  qualitative and quantitative analysis, and  reaction chemistry.
